Board Meeting Minutes

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Greeley held their regular meeting July 14, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Greeley Village Board Room. Members present were Bob Dutcher, Patty Swanson, Pat Donovan and Sally Walsh. Chairperson Dutcher called the meeting to order, noted the Open Meeting poster on the wall and thanked everyone for coming.
Role was called: Present: Swanson, Walsh, Dutcher, Donovan. Absent: Wood.
Motion was made by Walsh and Seconded by Swanson to approve minutes of last months meeting. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
Dave Young, Greeley CH/AL Admin., met with the Board and gave census updates.
Bob Absalon, Utility Superintendent, met with the Board with updates.
Motion was made by Donovan and Seconded by Swanson to purchase a plate compactor from Northern Tool and Equipment. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried
Amanda Bonge, Pool Manager, met with the Board and gave updates on pool attendance.
Motion was made by Dutcher and Seconded by Walsh to make a recommendation of approval to the Liquor Control Commission regarding the SDL application for Alumni August 31st, 32014. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
The Board discussed the snack shack fees. No action was taken.
Motion was made by Donovan and Seconded by Swanson to approve the preliminary draft of the new ordinance book. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
Motin was made by Donovan and Seconded by Walsh to hire Stacia Absalon to help with summer maintenance projects. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
Motion was made by Dutcher and Seconded by Donovan to hire Tanner Ostransky as a pool sub. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
Jim Ely, Village of Greeley Attorney, gave updates on Court Hearing being held July 28th, other lot cleanups, and Municipal Law Conference.
Motion was made by Donovan and Seconded by Walsh to pay expenses for Jim Ely to attend the Municipal Law Conference. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried
Kim Lyions, Village Clerk, met with the Board to discuss offering credit card payments through Nebraska Payport.
Motion was made by Walsh and Seconded by Swanson to allow payments by Payport. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
Motion was made by Walsh and Seconded by Dutcher to approve the claims as follows. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.

Motin was made by Donovan and Seconded by Walsh to exit executive session at 10:05 p.m. with raises of $1.00/hr for Bob Absalon and Kim Lyions, $.25/hr for Teresa Kehler, and $.50/hr for Edmund Smyth and Riley Racicky. Aye: All. Absent: Wood. Motion Carried.
